WHITE HORSE BLACK MOUNTAIN

All events are FREE or PAY WHAT YOU CAN

We want to ensure everyone in our community can access the healing power of music! Perhaps your household was affected by the storm and you can only afford a few dollars or maybe you have resources to share and you’d like to cover the cost for others. Whatever your situation, we welcome you and know together we will have enough!

The “pay what you can” process works this way; once an event is added to the cart, you’ll be prompted to enter the amount of the donation for you and your guest(s) . The “suggested donation” per ticket, reflects the normal ticket price. All ticket donation proceeds will be divided 50 / 50 between the performing artist and the White Horse Community Fund, which supports 4 local nonprofits in Hurricane Helene relief and rebuidling efforts.

Additional community events can be seen on our Facebook page.

Supporting the White Horse

On September 27, Hurricane Helene devastated our communities of Black Mountain and the larger Swannanoa Valley. We have been both leveled and buoyed, sometimes in the same moment, by all that we have witnessed.

And...

White Horse Black Mountain is a nonprofit center for the arts in Black Mountain, NC. We create community through the power of live music and support other local nonprofit organizations.

We will not let this devastation impede our mission to support local nonprofits AND provide space for community healing through music.

We are leaning into the power of “And…”

Below you will see two donation opportunities.

“In a time when some folks are actively and intentionally shredding the fabric of society, it’s not enough that we refrain from joining them. We need to actively weave and mend. The White Horse is not just presenting entertainment, it is making space for community to happen.”
