WHITE HORSE BLACK MOUNTAIN

At this time, all events are FREE or PAY WHAT YOU CAN.

Moving forward we will begin a “pay what you can” model for our ticketed shows. We will use the same ticketing process, but once tickets are added to your cart, you’ll be prompted to enter the amount of your donation. We will provide a “suggested donation” per ticket that reflects the original listing price.

We want to ensure everyone in our community can access the healing power of music! Perhaps your household was affected by the storm and you can only afford a few dollars or maybe you have resources to share and you’d like to cover the cost for others. Whatever your situation, we welcome you and know together we will have enough!

Events will be temporarily listed on our Facebook page.

Supporting the White Horse

On September 27, Hurricane Helene devastated our communities of Black Mountain and the larger Swannanoa Valley. We have been both leveled and buoyed, sometimes in the same moment, by all that we have witnessed.

And...

White Horse Black Mountain is a nonprofit center for the arts in Black Mountain, NC. We create community through the power of live music and support other local nonprofit organizations.

We will not let this devastation impede our mission to support local nonprofits AND provide space for community healing through music.

We are leaning into the power of “And…”

Below you will see two donation opportunities.

“In a time when some folks are actively and intentionally shredding the fabric of society, it’s not enough that we refrain from joining them. We need to actively weave and mend. The White Horse is not just presenting entertainment, it is making space for community to happen.”

– David LaMotte, musician, speaker, author
