Description

Join us for an uplifting Community Sing — a welcoming gathering where voices of all ages and experience levels come together to share songs, stories, and connection. This is not a performance or a concert. There’s no pressure, no auditions, and no need to “sound perfect.” Community singing is about participation, joy, and the simple magic that happens when people raise their voices together

In a world increasingly shaped by screens and digital communication, Community Sing offers a chance to reconnect in a real and meaningful way. Singing together has the power to heal, energize, and create a sense of belonging that stays with you long after the final song.

Whether you sing every day or haven’t sung in years, you are invited to be part of this inspiring and soul-filling experience. Come discover the power of music, community, and shared voices.

Singer-songwriter, educator, radio host, and folk music champion, Matt Watroba has spent decades bringing people together through music, storytelling, and community singing. A longtime host on Detroit public radio and an award-winning performer, Matt is known for his warm stage presence, humor, and songs filled with compassion, strength, and everyday life.

A founding member of the National Folk Alliance and instructor at the Swannanoa Gathering near Asheville, Matt has shared stages with folk legends including Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, and Tom Paxton. His performances are heartfelt, engaging, and deeply rooted in the spirit of folk tradition and connection.
