“Love Bubble” is the name of the freshest harmony-driven trio in WNC. They thrive on covering and writing songs that harken to the bubble gum sounds of the 1960’s and 70’s. Their playlist is full of kitschy, catchy pop songs that put everyone in a fun loving, care free and spirited mood. Whether you’re a single, a couple or a group of friends looking for a night of music on this ever-evolving holiday, Love Bubble’s playlist this evening will be a blend of dreamy, sweet and sultry, amusing, heartwarming and uplifting tunes that will raise your awareness, tickle your funny bone and warm the cockles of your heart! Made up of 3 of our areas finest and most sought after singers, they sell out all the area listening rooms, bars and music halls since bubbling up in 2019. If that doesn’t convince you, then White Horse Black Mountain is the place you should be on Cupid’s favorite day of the year because hearing them live, up close and intimate will! With original song titles such as I Wanna Be, She is Everywhere, All Because of You, Honeymoon in June, Inspire Me, Guilty Pleasures, If I Were a Ghost, they’ll also cover tunes from Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, The Monkeys, The Partridge Family, The Beach Boys, Petula Clark, The Beatles and more!
Hank Bones, who is affectionately referred to as “the man of 1000 songs”, is also a master on guitar, arranging and songwriting. His voice will melt all your cares away and make you wish you could sing just like him! His comedic skills get mixed reviews.
The brilliant and scintillating vocal stylings of world renowned, Star Search finalist and sought after session’s singer, Paula Hanke, also plays flute with delicious panache, banjulele when she remembers to bring it to the gig and a tipple that’s hung and strung like a ukulele; she’ll explain when you get there.
Rounding out this throuple, is the legendary and acclaimed band leader and the one we call Peggy ‘Chaunteuse’ Ratusz who also plays a bit of harmonica, a lot of tambourine and is known for playing the best kazoo solos this side of Swannanoa!
Hank, Paula and Peggy willingly and excitedly coalesce each gig and show, to bring audiences the most uplifting musical experience they could have any day of the week, but especially on the day we celebrate the Feast of St. Valentine’s.
