Guitarist ROBIN BULLOCK is your host & curator of the monthly CAROLINA CELTIC series.
The series presents Irish and Scottish musical traditions and explores their commonality with the Appalachian tunes and songs of the Carolina mountains.
Once a month our friends at AmiciMusic present a classical chamber music concert. The series is hosted and curated by Dr Daniel Weiser, most events are matinees starting at 2pm.
In addition to being entertaining, these events prove to be quite educational as Dan Weiser share a wealth of interesting information about the composers and background of the pieces featured at each performance.
Our Local Live series features a variety of talent from the local and regional areas. Jay Brown is the host and curator; twice a month he brings in a variety of performers for your enjoyment.
Jay grew up playing folk guitar with his parents and has continued to pursue a career in music as a singer-songwriter and roots musician.
The traditional music of the mountains of North Carolina traces its roots back to the Celtic music of Ireland and Scotland. Traditional Celtic music is still played on the porches and in the pubs of the Celtic lands… and also throughout the southern Appalachian mountains.
In true pub fashion, White Horse Black Mountain hosts a traditional Irish-style session twice a month, on the second and fourth Wednesdays, starting at 7pm. (FREE)
The Dark City Song Swap takes place once a month and focuses on the art and craft of singer-songwriters.
BETH LEE is the host and curator of this series and she invites other talented artists to join her on stage each month to share their artistry.
