Description

1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month BLUES JAMS!

Whether you’re a seasoned player, just getting started, or simply love live blues music, we invite you to join us. Bring your instrument, bring your friends, and come be part of the music.

Acoustic Blues Jam 6:00pm   |  Dark City Stage Jam 7:30pm – signups 6:30

The Details:
Signing up to play is simple for the Acoustic Jam – Just show up and join in the circle.

For the stage jams at 7:30 there will be a sign-Up Sheet at the venue starting at 6:30

Musicians are encouraged to arrive early to secure a slot. You can sign up as an individual or a partial group. SIgn ups end 10 min before showtime. What to Bring: Bring your own instrument (guitars, harps, horns, etc.).

 

Donate what you can suggested donation is $10 – Free for those that play that evening, but donations are welcome to help cover costs.

Blues Jam Rules and Song List

Bill Mattocks is a renowned blues musician known for his powerful vocals and harmonica skills. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, he relocated to Western North Carolina and has become a prominent figure in the region’s blues scene. His music style encompasses various genres, including blues, soul, funk, and R&B, drawing inspiration from legendary artists like Robert Johnson, B.B. King, and Howlin’ Wolf and JJ Cale.

Our Blues Events are supported in Part by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
