Virtuous (born Kia Rice) is an Asheville-based performing artist, songwriter, and creative storyteller whose music serves as a vibrant, melodic bridge between faith, hope, and identity. With a signature genre-defying sound that seamlessly blends Hip Hop, Soul, and Pop with the rhythmic energy of AfroPop and Funk, Virtuous creates an unforgettable experience designed to uplift and inspire.

A seasoned creator with seven projects to her name—including her latest album, The Good Things—Virtuous brings an authentic, soul-stirring presence to the stage. Beyond her work as a recording artist, she is deeply committed to community engagement. As a dedicated songwriting teacher, she fosters spaces for youth and adults to explore self-discovery through creativity, and through “Virtuous Fitness,” she utilizes the power of dance to promote holistic wellness.

The Kat Williams Legacy Sessions is a monthly gathering rooted in music, connection, and community—a living continuation of Kat’s vision to uplift, showcase, and sustain the voices of soul artists she believed in.
