For over a decade, our Local Live series, hosted by the exceptionally talented singer-songwriter Jay Brown, has been a cornerstone of our local music scene. Jay’s unmatched versatility and passion for music shine as he brings together the finest local talent for an evening of truly unforgettable performances.

Bill Altork has lived in Swannanoa for the past fifteen years and has been singing and songwriting most of his life with his original songs being therapeutic in nature, capturing slices of life and spiritual ponderings.. Bill came to White Horse a year after it opened, and has hosted our Open Mic for many years.  He has performed at Local Live twice before and we are so excited to have him back on the stage for this special evening.

Austin Barrett was raised in Bristol, Tennessee, and got his start on the guitar when he was just 5 years old.  He has a masters degree in Music Business, over a decade of teaching experience and 25 years playing guitar. His most advanced styles are: Acoustic Guitar Flatpicking and Fingerstyle, Electric Guitar Soloing and Blues, Music Theory and Understanding the Science and Language of Music, and Recording Engineering where you learn to make music on your computer either with an instrument or without.  We are thrilled to bring Austin to the stage.
