Description

Founded in 2008 and offered to students ages 7 – 18, Rock Academy is an Asheville Music School that teaches Year-Round Rock Band Performance Classes that take our bands out of the classrooms and into Asheville’s music scene. Students learn to perform a wide variety of musical styles and songs of various genres including blues, classic rock, hard rock, punk, surf, americana and more. Students develop life-long friendships while they learn to function in a group setting with their peers.

The Rock n Roll Chorus, created in 2007, has released 7 full-length albums over the last fifteen years. “RNRC” has been on the Grammy ballot 4 times, has opened for, or performed with Bruce Springsteen, Judy Collins, Foreigner, Jefferson Airplane, Jay Leno, MLB, Good Morning America, MTV, Sara Barielles, Gavin DeGraw and others, and this year will celebrate their 500th show! Beyond that The Rock n Roll Chorus has performed at venues including NJPAC, Continental Airlines Arena, The Prudential Center, Sovereign Bank Arena, Boardwalk Hall, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Cleveland), The Ocean Grove Auditorium (NJ), The PNC Bank Arts Center, The Stone Pony, Faneuil Hall (Boston), B.B King’s (NYC and Nashville), Turner Field (Atlanta), Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Charleston Music Hall (SC), The Paramount/Convention Hall (Asbury Park, NJ), Hard Rock Café (Baltimore Inner Harbor, Atlanta, Atlantic City), 17th Street Theater (Virginia Beach), Navy Pier (Chicago), The Tin Roof (Nashville)…and many more! The Rock n Roll Chorus is healthy singing, cutting-edge technology, crazy passion, and a rock and roll attitude all grilled up into one super high-energy show!
