The Hickory High Tornadoes can now add another remarkable accolade to their impressive State Football championship. Recent graduates, 18 year old identical twins Ali & Andi have been described as songwriting phenoms and will display their otherworldly blood-harmonies accompanied by intricate fingerpicked guitars and piano. Fans of everything from Simon & Garfunkel and Joni Mitchell to Kate Bush and Beach House will be blown away. Ali & Andi were born and raised, right here in Hickory. Their prodigious talents were soon recognized and nurtured by Alan Mearns at Hickory Music Factory. Their eponymous first album was produced by Mearns at Blue Moon Soundlab and was aided by a generous grant from the The United Arts Council of Catawba County.ย
Ali & Andi are aย twin singer-songwriter duo known for their heartfelt originals and unique covers. With their dynamic harmony and intricate fingerpicking skill they produce an ethereal, yet folksy sound that captivates audiences.
