From Uganda to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chinobay and Jaja Bashengezi bring together music shaped by journeys, traditions, and the human stories that connect us. Their meeting is a celebration of East and Central African sound—rooted in tradition, alive with rhythm, and open to the unexpected.
Jaja Bashengezi, born and raised in Bukavu on the shores of Lake Kivu, is a Congolese musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and activist whose music carries powerful stories of resilience, peace, and hope.
Chinobay, a Ugandan musician, cultural ambassador, and educator, draws from the musical traditions of his homeland while creating bridges between African music and the wider world. His work has taken him across continents, using music as a way to bring people together and share stories of humanity, culture, and connection.
