The blind harper Turlough O’Carolan (1670-1738) was the greatest of the Irish bards, whose 200-plus surviving melodies are a unique and beautiful blend of Celtic and Baroque influences. Tonight, in a rare treat for Celtic music lovers, Carolina Celtic is proud to present a full evening of Carolan’s otherworldly and spellbinding tunes. Few musicians are as well qualified to interpret Carolan as four-time National Scottish Harp Champion Sue Richards and Indie Award-winning multi-instrumentalist Robin Bullock, the founders of the Carolina Celtic series and longtime White Horse favorites. This promises to be a magical evening!
