Deep River is fronted by three female vocalists (Sharon Lewis who also plays bass guitar, Sandy Howard and Nita Smith) and backed by some of Asheville’s finest musicians including lead guitarist Alec Fehl and drummer Justin Watt, both of whom teach at the Asheville Music School, acoustic guitarist Peter Millis and guest keyboardist Kevin Sanders.

Our September 7th show at White Horse Black Mountain will showcase some of your favorite hits by the Eagles, AMERICA and Fleetwood Mac plus hits by country artists like Linda Ronstadt, Shania Twain, Kacey Musgraves and Michael Martin Murphey.

During our 32-year career Deep River has sung with country music superstar/part-time Eagle Vince Gill, and opened for 2-time country Grammy winner Kathy Mattea, Grand Ole Opry star Mark Wills, Country Music HOF’r Charlie Louvin of The Louvin Brothers and the ‘First Lady of Bluegrass’, Wilma Lee Cooper.

Since 2007 Deep River has performed at numerous venues around Asheville and WNC including White Horse Black Mountain, Highland Brewing, The Grey Eagle, The Grove Park Inn and outdoor Summer Concert Series at Biltmore Lake, Banner Elk, Lake Toxaway and Pinebrook Farms to name a few.
