While Jay Brown takes a well-deserved break, we’re excited to welcome special guest host Cary Fridley for this edition.  Cary will be guiding the evening as we showcase talented local musicians in a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere. This weeks featured artists Flatbridge, and Dave Perkins

 Flat Bridge is an old-time and bluegrass acoustic duo featuring Emma Rast and Daniel Ullom. The two multi-instrumentalists met during a late-night kitchen jam session and later formed the project based out of Asheville, North Carolina. Their performances weave together old-time string band, country, and bluegrass traditions, heavily featuring fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and close, heartfelt vocal harmonies.

Cary Fridley is an acclaimed Appalachian singer, bassist, and music educator based in Asheville, North Carolina. Deeply rooted in the cultural traditions of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, her diverse repertoire spans traditional country, old-time string band music, mountain ballads, blues, and jazz.

Dave Perkins is an Asheville-based jazz and blues guitarist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist who is a fixture in the Western North Carolina live music scene. He is widely known for his sophisticated guitar styling, fluid improvisation, and collaborations with a variety of local jazz, fusion, and roots ensembles.
