Description

For over a decade, our Local Live series, hosted by the exceptionally talented singer-songwriter Jay Brown, has been a cornerstone of our local music scene. Jay’s unmatched versatility and passion for music shine as he brings together the finest local talent for an evening of truly unforgettable performances.  Each event is a unique blend of seasoned professionals and local musicians who play at a pro level. What begins as individual performances gradually transforms into a collaborative, magical experience as the artists come together to create something special. Don’t miss out on the magic!

Jason Curtis hails from Asheville, NC, and is a heartfelt singer/songwriter who finds inspiration in his country, blues, and gospel heritage. Originally from South Louisiana, Jason, alongside his wife Jackie and their children MacKenzie, Mirna, Kaden, and Lillie, have made the Asheville region their home for over two decades. Jason’s music, characterized by its authenticity and emotional depth, draws from his upbringing in the Deep South as a preacher’s son. He aims to write songs that resonate with his own life experiences, aspiring to evoke emotions in his listeners. “Great songs always make you feel something,” he asserts. Jason earned the title “One to Watch” for his original track “Sunday Afternoon” by the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

Bob Williams began his songwriting journey at an early age and never looked back. Since 2015, he has released four solo albums and regularly performs in Southwest Florida and Western North Carolina. Specializing in Americana music, Bob’s style blends Roots, Folk, Country, and Blues. When covering a song, he makes it his own with a distinctive personal touch. Over the years, he has played countless shows, opened for national touring artists, and had his songs recorded by others. All of Bob’s music is available to stream or download for free on his website. He also produces a podcast, called A Songwriters Journey with Bob Williams.
