Nanseera is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter with an old soul and deeply powerful lyrics. The mixed-race, London-born performer grew up in Uganda and Ethiopia, moving to the United States for high school and college. As an adult, Nanseera has spent time in France and Uganda, as well as touring the east coast of the United States. All her travels and adjustments bring a nuanced worldview into her music. Taking inspiration from artists like Tracy Chapman, Lianne LaHavas, and Sheryl Crow, she weaves together poetic stories of home, love, and belonging.
