Description
When:
Saturday Aug. 10th • 1:00pm – 3:00pm
FREE
Where:
White Horse Black Mountain.
Hosts:
Bob Williams and Tom Keever
Our Goals:
We hope to make this an ongoing event, providing a platform for songwriters to hone their craft and find inspiration. In the future, we plan to introduce songwriting prompts, workshops, and co-writing opportunities. Every songwriter needs a sounding board!
Who Can Join:
The Circle is open to all songwriters, regardless of experience level—beginners, intermediates, and professionals are all welcome! And open to the public just to come and listen.
Songwriting Circle Etiquette:
Acoustic Instruments Only.
Song Sharing:
We will form a circle and take turns sharing songs. If the group is large, we may split into two groups to ensure everyone gets a chance to participate.
Song Length:
Keep your songs under four minutes.
Respectful Environment:
Everyone should be respectful, courteous, and encouraging.
Original Songs Only:
No cover songs, as this is a songwriting group, and not a jam session.
Critiques:
Critiques are available if you want them, but are entirely optional.
