Renovation Update & Community Appreciation

During early renovation work, a small section of wall in the former ticket booth area came down unexpectedly. We’re grateful to share that no one was injured, and at no time was there any risk to the public.

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank the Town of Black Mountain and our local first responders for their swift, professional, and deeply caring response to this incident.

Within moments, the Black Mountain Fire Department was on site, providing calm leadership and seamless coordination. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fire Marshal Doug Morrow, Fire Chief John Coffey, and Building Inspector Rick Burton for their steady presence and close collaboration. Their responsiveness ensured the situation was thoroughly assessed and handled with clarity and confidence.

Out of an abundance of caution, North Carolina Urban Search and Rescue also assisted in evaluating the structure and confirming the area was secure. Their expertise, alongside our local responders, provided reassurance to our staff and contractors and reinforced the high standard of safety guiding this project.

We are deeply appreciative of the professionalism, communication, and partnership shown by the Town of Black Mountain throughout this process. This experience reaffirmed what we already know — this is a community that truly takes care of one another.

Event updates and any scheduling notices will be shared on our website and social channels as soon as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your continued support
