We’re Back: A New Chapter at White Horse Black Mountain

On April 16, we welcomed our first act back to the stage—reopening the doors of White Horse Black Mountain and beginning a new chapter for our space and our community.

The road here hasn’t been easy. On January 21, 2026, a structural collapse during demo work on our former ticket booth caused significant damage to our building. While we’re incredibly grateful that no one was injured, the impact left us without a functioning performance space for months.
But we didn’t stop.

With the support of partners like The Monte Vista Hotel, we moved our programming offsite—keeping music alive, our staff working, and artists on stage. It allowed us to continue what matters most to us: being a community space for music and art, supporting music education, and bringing people together. At the heart of it all, we remain committed to keeping live music accessible to everyone.

Now, we’re home again—and looking forward.
We’re actively planning an outdoor expansion that will nearly double our capacity to around 400 guests. The vision includes a new patio and a rooftop deck designed for year-round use, with heating and full accessibility. It’s an exciting step that will allow us to grow while staying rooted in what makes this place special.

At the same time, we’ve returned to a full calendar of shows—continuing our “Donate-What-You-Can” model. For us, this isn’t just a pricing structure—it’s a belief system. We trust our community to support one another, ensuring that anyone who wants to experience live music here can do so.
What hasn’t changed is the feeling inside the room.

As a listening room, we’re dedicated to creating a space where artists and audiences truly connect. It’s intimate, intentional, and grounded in presence—where the music isn’t just background, but the reason we’re all here. That shared experience is what defines White Horse.
We’re grateful to be back. Grateful for the support that carried us through. And more than ever, we’re excited for what’s ahead.
Welcome home.
